In Burgundy, terroir and history are the soul of every bottle. The story of Domaine Lucien Jacob is a century-spanning saga, witnessing the Jacob and Féry families' love for Burgundy. In 2022, this heritage entered a new chapter.

The Beginning: From Échevronne

In 1922, Louis Jacob established the domaine in Échevronne, near Beaune. The main activity was cultivating berries before gradually shifting to viticulture. Louis Jacob's foresight laid a lasting foundation.

In 1969, the estate divided into Domaine Jean Féry and Domaine Lucien Jacob. While managed independently, they remained connected and shared history.

The Historic Reunion of 2022

2022 marked a moment of profound significance. The fourth generation reunited the two estates into a single entity, led by Laurent Féry as CEO.

Following Jean-Michel Jacob's retirement, many Jacob family vineyards returned in 2022 and 2023. Today, the domaine spans approximately 14 to 32 hectares across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, producing wines from regional to Grand Cru levels.

The wines under the Domaine Lucien Jacob label are crafted by the Domaine Jean Féry team.

Every bottle benefits from their expertise:

• Organic & Biodynamic:      ECOCERT-certified since 2011, transitioning to biodynamics.
• Expert Winemaking: François      Lecaillon (ex-Domaine de la Vougeraie) joined in 2022.
• Exceptional Terroirs: Vineyards in Savigny-lès-Beaune,      Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and more.

All grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in oak to reveal pure terroir expression.
